Francisco Gil, MD

Dr. Francisco Gil is a Family Practice physician with over 30 years of experience in primary care. He graduated medical school from the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California in Tijuana Mexico in 1983. He then completed his residency in the specialty of Family Medicine at St. Mary’s of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago Illinois, caring for a diverse patient population and treating individuals across the lifespan. Following completion of his residency, Dr. Gil returned to California where he chose to settle his medical practice in National City, within the San Diego metro area. Dr. Gil is a member of the San Diego Medical Society as well as a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. 

Dr. Gil’s unique care philosophy blends physical wellness with spiritual health, believing that a strong faith is paramount to a healthy life. He affirms that every day is a blessing from God and transmits this to his patients whenever possible. Dr. Gil develops a unique relationship with each and every patient, striving to work towards the greatest level of wellness possible. In his free time, Dr. Gil enjoys spending time with his family, singing, traveling, soccer matches, and studying the Bible. 

 


Anna C. Gil, DNP, FNP-C

Anna Celia Gil is a Board Certified Family Practice Nurse Practitioner credentialed through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. She earned her Master of Science degree at South University and is currently completing her doctoral studies at Abilene Christian University with an emphasis in diabetes education and management. Anna is an active member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners, the Institute of Functional Medicine, and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.

Anna’s prior experience is predominantly in the critical care setting which gives her a unique perspective on exacerbations of chronic illness and an astute clinical eye. Her care philosophy focuses on disease prevention and health promotion, with the belief that wellness is multifaceted and not limited to merely the absence of disease. Anna believes that optimal health is reached through a partnership between the patient and the provider and she strives to motivate and empower her patients to become active participants in their healthcare journey.

During her free time, Anna enjoys being active, especially with her two dogs, Kaiser and Gaia and spending time with her husband and other members of her family.
